FAQs

How do I get a quote?

For small removals we can quote over the phone on 0845 2263525 or by email info@gentlemanandavan.co.uk
For larger moves please call our office or fill out our Get A Quote Form and a member of staff will arrange a suitable time to visit your property to give you a quote.

How much notice do I need to give?

It is advisable to give us 2 weeks notice, however if it is a small move we can generally fit you in within a few days.

Can I do my own packing?

Of course you can! A wide range of packing materials is available to order via our website. Please call us if you need any packing advice.

Will my move be insured?

Limited Liability Goods In Transit Insurance up to £20,000 per van-load is included at no extra cost. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions. If you require additional cover this can be arranged.

What are the quotes based on?

The quote is based on a number of different aspects ranging from what floor you are on, the size of the vehicle needed, number of gentlemen involved, the amount of time necessary to carry out the move and whether any packing is required.

Do I need to organise parking?

If parking is difficult outside your property or is Residents Only, you will need to contact your local council parking department and organise a parking suspension. Please give them a minimum of 5 working days’ notice.

How do I pay?

We require full payment once the removal has been completed. We accept credit or debit cards, cheques or cash and a receipt will be issued.

Do I have to pay VAT?

Gentleman & A Van is registered for VAT so this cost will be added to your bill.
